Uni of Nottingham course details
Hello, I am going to do accounting, finance, and management with placement year this September at Uni of Nottingham. Can any1 who has done it or knows about it tell me what the teaching is like? I know there are lectures, group projects, and assignments, but what is the actual teaching like. Do we learn all from lectures, or is there a book they teach us from. Personally, I learn better from a book than lectures and PowerPoint slides, so I was wondering what the content teaching is like. Thank you. And if you have any other info about the course, then I would appreciate it. I read all the info on the website about it, but there's some stuff I'm still unsure about.

There are usually a blend of teaching methods to suit the strengths of each student.
Lecturers make use of PowerPoint slides (or any similar software) for the lecture materials, albeit it may vary from module to module. Textbooks are also available to reinforce the learning experience and to expand upon the topics covered in the timetabled sessions.
Apart from the University's website dedicated to the course, I would highly recommend you to utilise the following tool: Curriculum Catalogue UK UoN. Here you may look at the content of each module individually (including how you will be assessed). To make use of it select "2025 Academic Year" and type the name of any of the modules you are interested to look into!
