How much would it cost me to study in the UK for my first year of university

There are way too many factors to give an accurate answer on this one without more details. You'd need to look at the fee's your chosen university charge, look at the average rent for student accommodation there and then add money for food, days out and general living. THE have a fairly good article on this, it's not amazing but will help narrow down what you need to be looking at: How much does it cost to study in the UK? | Student

Hi there,

Costs will likely vary greatly depending on where you'd be based.

Here at Chester, current tuition fees for international undergraduate students is £14,450/yr. This may vary depending on your level of study or the university you'd like to attend. Housing costs will vary greatly too, as the cost of living in one place could be significantly cheaper or more expensive than another.

I'd recommend searching for universities you are interested in, and looking into what you can expect for the level of study you'd undertake there. You can also get a general idea for on-campus accommodation or student housing by doing some searches of the local area/on the university webpage, and can get an idea for the cost of day-to-day living by doing the same.

You may be eligible for scholarships and funding to help you manage this cost. A lot of information about these things can be found on specific university pages, or you could contact the university themselves.

I've linked Chester's international page here, just in case you wanted to browse for some more information about the process and costs!

I hope this helps,
