I want to apply for student finance but haven’t received my results and so I don’t know what to pick when they ask me for my school. Is there a way to apply before results day because I fear that it will be too close a gap and it won’t be complete in time.

You need to apply now otherwise you risk your finance not being in place for the start of term (you've already missed SFE's deadline to guarantee this by 6 weeks). As above, pick your firm choice and if you don't get in, the uni and course can be changed easily after results day.
