Student Finance/ Switching course

I am looking to change courses from Computer Science to Computer Science (Data Science) with Sandwich for my second year this September.
I have spoken to my module leader and he recommended I just change to the normal Computer Science (Data Science) course as I have not found placement. He stated that once I have found placement he can switch me over to a sandwich mode.

My problem is I have applied for a 4 year sandwich student finance application for this September but I obviously do not have placement. Should I change the application back to a normal 3 year application and only change it to the 4 year sandwich once I have found placement? I don't know what the right approach is.

Hi there, it's up to you. If you stay on this placement version and it turns out you can't get a placement by your 3rd year then you will need to change it to the 3 year version on your 3rd year. Or as your university have advised you can apply on the 3 year version then change it to the placement version once you have found a placement. Thanks, Leah.
