Msc Mathematical and Theoretical Physics Application

I am going into the third year of a Physics and Mathematics degree at Durham University. I averaged 75 this year, in part due to housing complications, and anticipate improvement next year. I plan to apply this year, but I expect not to get in as I have limited research experience and imperfect grades. I am completing a dissertation in GR, which should provide a good reference and I have taken several extra modules in my summers (Analysis, SR + EM, and Logic) and performed well. Next summer, I hope to undertake research (having covered more relevant content), so I expect to be more competitive after completing my degree.

I wanted to know if anyone who has taken the Oxford Msc course (or similar, such as part iii) from Durham (or a similar university) could say what grades they got in with and what else might be necessary for admission.
