Missed Postgraduate Academic Conditions

Hi all, I'm just hoping to get some information on how long I should expect Cambridge to take to decide if I'll be admitted despite missing my offer, and also the likelihood of being admitted:confused:

For MPhil Economics my requirements were 70 overall, 70 in my 3rd year, 70 in two technical modules (time series and micro econometrics) and then 70 in my dissertation

I was comfortably clear on 4 of those requirements, and ended with a high first on the two technical modules which I was v happy about, but unfortunately got 68 on my diss (which id be v happy with too if not for this condition)

I'm tentatively taking the fact that Cambridge recently reopened admission for this course to mean it's at least not oversubscribed, and that since I only narrowly missed a single condition I'm staying positive. That being said, I don't want to be delusional, and am also worried about the time it'll take for me to find out, since I know it takes 10 days to process documents, but then presumably that's before even the department or PAO reviewing it.

If anyone had any insight from economics ppl who have done the course, or anyone's own experience with missing requirements for any Cam postgrad course, on how long it all takes and how common it is for students to be admitted despite missing their offer, it'd be really appreciated!

The usual process is that they wait until they have the majority of results in and they know how many people have made their offers, and this how many gaps they have on the course, before making a decision on whether they want to fill the course with near misses or not. There's no knowable timeline for that, for people outside the process.

How's it going? Getting a 68 on dissertation is a very high 2:1.
