Will I have a problem studying Dietetics at University?

Hi Everyone!

I’m a current Year 12 student and I’m interested at studying dietetics in university (2026 entry). The problem I have is that I don’t do A-level Biology, which seems quite important for doing dietetics.

I’m currently doing A-level Chemistry, Maths and Psychology, I would’ve picked biology if I had know earlier that I wanted to be a dietitian but unfortunately I didn’t.

There are 2 courses that I seem to be eligible for and that I want to do, but I’m wondering if I’ll struggle without biology even if they don’t require it.

If anyone has any advice about how difficult it is to do without biology and, if so, if there are any recommendations to try and get some more knowledge in biology.

I would appreciate any advice, thank you for reading! 😊

I would recommend going to the open days of both and trying to speak to someone about it. I'm sure you would be able to pick up the knowledge as you go
