18 with no friends :(
So I have just ,eft sixthform and had a great time but none are ‘outside’ friends. It’s kinda sad seeing everyone’s insta stories with them going on holiday with their group and having fun whilst I am at home bed rotting. Does it get any better ? I honestly would love having even 2 close friends or even one. But most people end up ignoring me as they have closer friends. Even my group at secondary and sixthform have moved on but I try so hard to keep the friendship alive but the effort isn’t ever reciprocated. Especially during birthdays, I go out of my way to buy them expensive presents and hand make them cards on,y for them to not even remember my birthday. I’m honestly so sick of this some please give me any advice and if I should be worried if I haven’t made a friendgroup at 18

i wish i had some advice but all i can say is that i can relate. all the friends ive ever had just leave me or betray me, and i always see ppl posting pics of themselves with their best friends and its depressing. im homeschooled which doesnt help matters. i dont think u should be worries but try speak to someone new, or maybe do smth extra curricular where u might meet somebody. or even online which isnt the safest option out there but i know ppl who i would trust meeting irl to not be a creepy old man lol. i hope things get better for u, really - and im sure u'll find a bestie soon in uni or something! byee xx
