Social work (Undergraduate)
Hi I’m 32 and would love to go back into education and do a social work degree.But what’s letting me down is I don’t have GCSE maths only have GCSE English and level 2 and 3 BTEC national award in health and social care.I would like to study in Nottingham trent university.My question is would I need to resit mathematics gcse to do this course?

Given it's been a while, universities may be able to be flexible with what sort of maths qualification you need. You may be able to take something like functional skills instead. I would contact nottingham trent and explain your situation, and they should be able to advise you on what they could accept.

I would agree that it's worth getting in touch with our Admissions team to discuss your situation and options in more detail. We can in some cases accept other qualifications such as Functional Skills or Equivalency tests, but this can vary depending on the course.
