Resits coming up at Cardiff Uni

So I've got resits coming up in August. I'm going through some personal issues with family and my mental health isn't doing well. Would it at all be possible to ask to repeat the failed modules I have in the next academic year?

Hey, sorry to hear you're going through a rough time you're not alone in this.
Yes, it's definitely possible to ask to repeat your failed modules next year instead of doing August resits. Universities like Cardiff usually have a process for deferring assessments or interrupting studies if you’re facing serious personal or health issues.
Your best move is to speak to a personal tutor, or the Student Support team, as soon as you can. They can guide you through submitting extenuating circumstances and help put support in place especially if you have evidence like a doctor’s note or are already in touch with counselling services.
You’ve got options, and people who can help. Prioritise your wellbeing the academics can be managed with the right support

Thank you for your reply. I've been in contact with my personal tutor who has directed me to the teaching office of my course and I've also been in contact with student advice for additional support so just waiting for a reply from them at the moment. I've spoken with my GP and have been prescribed antidepressants and given extra support for mental health

That's really good to hear! I really do hope you get the support you need  If you need any further advice or support, please don't hesitate to send over a message!
