Special support loan/grant

Hi I have just been offered an unconditional space for a masters and originally as going to do a pgce which apparently was awarded a special support loan as well as full funding as it fell under the undergraduate sfe.
Now that I am doing a masters instead and I am still getting DSA and I claim PIP would I be able to also get that special support loan as I am low income and my postgraduate loan just about covers my course fees but I have nothing left for living.

Hi there,

When you apply for the Masters Loan, that's the maximum that we offer, unfortunately. There isn't the equivalent of the Special Support Loan.

We'd definitely suggest speaking to your university to see if they're able to offer any help.

Thanks, Graeme
