Leeds Uni 2025 Muslim girl accomodation - Leodis Residences but want Devonshire hall

I've just recieved my offer today, I applied for Devonshire Hall (self-catered, en-suite) but got offered Leodis Residences instead (also self-catered + en-suite). Honestly I'm pretty disappointed because I wanted Devonshire a lot (music room, lots of nature, really pretty traditional style building & the events). I think I may not have got it because of putting my religion down (muslim) and female-only gender preference. Is anyone else in the same position? If anyone has Dev but wants Leodis please lmk

Hi, there's no reason that you would have been denied based on your religion- it doesn't play a massive part in how they decide if any. Your prefrence for a girls only flat might have contributed though as they may have only had limited space for single gender accom in that building.
If you're really determined to stay at Devonshire Hall, I would suggest giving the accomodation team a call and they might be able to find you a space there or at least put you on a reserves list. I'm not super familiar with the Leeds halls situation but if you don't ask, you don't get.

same, me and my friend applied for sentinel towers but got given leodis, it must be bc we put too many requirements like girls only ect

Hi, If you are looking for en-suite Devonshire Catered, I would be interested in a swap to Leodis if it's ensuite?
