Eco Course Unis - AAB

My son got Secured Predicted grades as AAB , and now he is looking for two options to select as backup. One of his choice is University of York but he is not sure about the second one.

Which is a good uni that accepts AAB for Economics course?

(typical offers only, no contextual)

Hiya,

Lancaster's Economics BSc and BA have AAB as their listed entry requirements. The BSc requires A-level Maths and the BA requires a 6 in GCSE Maths. As a personal anecdote, I'm applying for the BA as a backup.

From a search, Uni of Sheffield, Glasgow, and Liverpool also offer courses with AAB posted.

Be sure to check any extra requirement's though. For example, Glasgow interestingly requires A-level English or a humanities subject, as well as Maths.

Edit: typed something twice by accident.

Hope this helps!

thanks Lancaster is now his second safe choice, 🙂 but sadly we can not visit any of their open days as it clashes with Bath and Nottingham !

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear you can't visit Lancaster on one of our open days! Luckily, the university runs campus tours all year round (see here) and we also have online/virtual tours of the campus (see here). You can also chat to students both here and on our website.

Please let me know if you or your son have any questions!

p.s I really recommend visiting campus if you get an opportunity as its so unique (and its what made me fall in love with Lancaster).
