Either Clarks or sketchers shoes as very comfortable for you.
Remember to check the hospital uniform policy to see if you can wear either shoes or trainers ok. Our NHS policy allows us to wear either shoes or trainers and I prefer trainers.

Sketchers seem very popular on the wards. They need to be closed toes (so no 'crocs' or similar).

You are welcome and choice what is best for you as you'll be on your feet alot when on placement.
And do try and check out the policy on your uniform requirements before buying anything but you can't go wrong with shoes and if you are able to wear trainers you can always get a pair.

I've got sketchers and I 100% recommend. But the only thing, if you have a placement in the community, you might be asked to take off your shoes so make sure to have easy to slip off ones.. talking from experience here 😭😭

I never had to take my sketches trainer's off when I did my community placements but every individual hospital trust policy is different from eachother so definitely check the policy on this.

yeah, for me, some of the nurses i'd be with would ask if they want shoes on or off in the house but there were quite a few who said it was fine to leave them on. i havent looked into it tbh but yeah, its probably just differences between trusts

To be honest with you I think it's not the nurses issues taking shoes/ trainers of when going into patients house's it's the actual house owners who tend to say can you take your shoes etc of before coming in.... I haven't seen nothing in my own NHS policy stating that you might be asked to do that.
You can actually get slip over cover's for shoes etc if it's a problem within your own NHS trust areas. 😀

Where did they say anything about it being an NHS policy?
