Are they asking you to justify his revenue or his costs? If he’s self employed and he’s provided work to a client he is legally obliged to have provided an invoice. Similarly if he is deducting costs in relation to his work, then those costs should be documented, even if it’s just the receipt for filling up the car with petrol. If he really can’t find them then maybe copies of his credit card bill will be a starting point

I recommend you make a post in the Ask SFE forum where an official rep will reply to you during office hours (usually Mon-Fri) or log in to your SFE account and use the live chat function (again available during office hours).

As he works with platforms such as Uber they will be able to provide him with a summary of his earnings with them, as will the other platforms.
He should have credit card receipts or similar for fuel, car insurance, cleaning costs etc.
But as already stated it would be best to contact SFE directly by live chat, phone, or starting a post in « ask student finance »

Your dad should have HMRC SA302 and tax overview from his self-employment that you can use to submit to SFE. Thats what I have done for mine when I submitted my maintenance loan and tuition fee back in March for Sept 25 entry.

As you have already submitted the SA302 and tax overviews, the next best thing you can do is to call them, SFE, or chat to them ASAP to enquire why SA302 and Tax overviews are not sufficient and explain to them what you explained here.

Also, as suggested by @normaw, do open a thread and ask in https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=910

After I submitted my parent's SA302 and Tax overview alone in March, SFE cleared and approved all my applications
