It sounds like a deeply personal and spiritual experience. Their response might stem from their own beliefs or fears. Some possible reasons:
1. Fear of the unknown or supernatural
2. Protecting you from what they perceive as evil
3. Upholding their religious beliefs
Consider having an open conversation to understand their perspective

Feeling rewarded with everything you want for perpetual sinning with no intent to change doesn't sound much like God, that sounds kinda more like the other team. Most Christians would just think you were taking the **** really.

it's not that i don't want to, it's that i can't really change my nature.
i was raised catholic, turned to satanism in my early teens out of dumb rebellion bc i was a severely depressed kid, became an atheist for a few years, and now im finding my way back to my roots i guess
if he doesn't understand that, too bad

"it's not that i don't want to, it's that i can't really change my nature."

A good realisation, the apostle Paul had it after he received God's Spirit, giving him access to God's nature (Romans 7:7-8v2)

This is why Jesus said "you must be born again (from above) of The Spirit" (John 3v3, 5).
You must call on God to do this, I and all my friends have.

Your roots (religion) didn't hold you and enable you to change and be what you would want to be, this will.

Correct, so, how much do you want to see what God can do?

"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God." (1 Corinthians 2v9-10)

God doesn't impose his will on non-believers or people why choose their own ways
