Is my SFE application going to be rejected?

Hi all, I've been reading up on posts of people in similar situations, and I understand sometimes you can appeal student finance decisions?

I moved to the UK in oct of 2021, but my clearance is from sept 2021 so I can apply for the ILR on September 2nd 2026 (5years) and will fast track it. I've already done a gap year as I sat my a levels in 2024, and need to work until 2026 entry, so I will be submitting my applications this Autumn. I'm just so worried because I don't want to take another gap year. I know some unis like cambridge say that the first day of their academic year is october 1, which would solve all my problems if I get in there but I don't know. FYI I am not a UK, EU, Ukraine, Afghan, Turkish, etc.

PLSSS if anyone has been in a similar situation let me know if you appealed your SFE rejection or you could get the funding ;( I can't pay 40K a year in student fees that's impossible.

Hi there,

Just to clarify, you've posted in Ask SFE section, where you can speak to SFE directly.

Someone else may reply to you here, but if not, is there something we can help you with specifically?

Thanks, Graeme
