Trump stonewalls over Epstein list

Trump has refused to release the Epstein's client list that would expose multiple members of the American political establishment. After Trump and his supporters spent years demanding it's release while out of office, Trump's Department of Justice claims it does not exist.

Trump and the Republican establishment normally speak with one voice but we are seeing cracks in the MAGA movement over this issue.

Anyone surprised Trump, who has been found liable for sexual abuse and faced a litany of allegations about his sexual misconduct for decades, would block the release of the client list of his friend Jeffery Epstein?

It is pure hoax pushed by the lying Democrats. Time to move on.

No thoughts, just facts.

Before Epstein was investigated for child sex offences, Trump said Epstein is a great guy and fun to be with, and confirmed his penchant for women "on the younger side".
Trump now claims to have not known Epstein.

Before election, Trump latches onto a far-right conspiracy theory and repeatedly calls for the full release of the "Epstein files" and accuses the 'deep state elite' of a cover up of serious goings on.
Trump now calls the whole thing a "boring hoax" and refuses to publish the files.

Epstein had hidden video cameras in his properties and claimed to have "dirt" on many powerful people.

Hmm... 🤔

To quote Donald Trump Jr. "Show us the Epstein client list now!! Why would would anyone protect those scum bags? Ask yourselves this question daily and the answer becomes very apparent."

This highlights the error that Trump made when he claimed the Epstein client list is a hoax. It is not the Democrats that have been at the forefront of pushing the narrative of Epstein's client list. It is the conservative talking heads like the now FBI Director Kash Patel and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino that also told people to vote Trump.

Rather than gullibly accepting Trump's attempt at a narrative flip, many in the MAGA movement are now asking who is Trump protecting? You need to start asking yourself this question.

It is no coincidence that Trump's birthday letter to Epstein has come to light now.

It could have been clearer when the President received the full briefing and concluded that the whole Epstein case was overblown. I have no doubt that Epstein was an evil man, but I don't think President Trump has anything to hide.

President Trump also does not have a penchant for women on the younger side and has fought for women’s rights.

If the client list existed, the lying Democrats should have released it last year. It probably does not exist.

I am not part of the Trump MAGA movement. I am on the hard left.

If the files are fake when why did Trump and his MAGA supporters demand the release of the files before and during the election campaign? Why were they accusing Democrats of protecting pedophiles for not releasing the files?

If the files are real then why has Trump and his MAGA government not released them? They'd be doing exactly the same thing they accused the Democrats of doing: protecting pedophiles.

Either way this looks bad on Trump, bad on Republicans and bad on MAGA. Already cracks are forming in the movement, which is hilarious to watch from the side.

Of course the Democrats wouldn't release anything on Epstein. It has the potential to implicate individuals connected with the party. Like Trump, Clinton was a friend of Epstein. Trump is now singing from the same Democrat hymn sheet.

You've got to give it to the MAGA crowd. They are loyal to their master. They'll happily buy in to Trump's populist rhetoric despite his Big Beautiful Bill constituting a massive transfer of wealth to the elite, denying them healthcare, and mortgaging America's future.

But this issue has really caused a rift. Agreed that it is hilarious watching Trump and Leavitt attacking Trump's very own base.
Sad to see Trump strongly supporting paedophiles in this matter. Disappointing.

Epstein visited the WH many times during the Clinton administration. I don't think the President had any direct involvement. However, i agree that the perception is not good

If there is "nothing to hide", why is he so desperate to keep the files under wraps? Why not release the details of that "full briefing"?

I was referring to Trump saying that Epstein liked women "on the younger side". Although Trump has had multiple relationships with women years, even decades younger than himself. Epstein didn't have any daughters, so that comparison cannot be made.

So you accept that Trump was pushing unfounded conspiracy theories.

"I don't think the President [Clinton] had any direct involvement"
On the other hand, there is plenty of evidence that Trump was deeply involved with Epstein. "A great guy and fun to be with. Likes his women on the younger side".
As you say, doesn't look good. Especially now he is suppressing the evidence.

Another of Trumps classic lies.
"I've never drawn a picture"
There is hard evidence that he has done many drawings. And signed them. People have bought them.

One has to wonder if he is just a shameless liar or if his mental capacity is so damaged that he actually believes this stuff.
Like his criticism of Fed chair Jerome Powell. In one interview he derided Biden for making such a bad appointment. Guess what? It was Trump who appointed him, praising him in glowing terms!

Based on his track record, one must assume that Trump is both dishonest and mentally incompetent.

The President has ordered the release of some key information to show that he is not scared or running away.

Epstein’s young side were children. The man was evil. Trump liking a woman in her 30s when he was 50 does not make him a creep. We need to stop this BS that men should date their age or he is a creep. As long as she is a consenting adult, it is fine.

He probably got the wrong information and is trying to clarify it now. He has sued Rupert Murdoch and his media organisation for lies.

Calling someone a great guy does not mean that one partakes in the same past-time activities.

Yes, it does not look good but people make mistakes. You could meet a young lad at Glastonbury, chill with him for some time and call him a great lad. Then years later find out that he touched kids. It does not mean that you also touched kids. It would be wicked to associate you to that evil lad.

The President is human. Have you lived a perfect life? Of course not. Don't be quick to judge him.
