Thoughts on the ending of The Dragon Prince Season 7?

Spoilers ahead!!!!!
Personally, I thought the ending was really underwhelming, considering there was so much emphasis on Rayla killing Callum and just Callum dying in general. I think it would have been way more impactful if Callum gave his life and Rayla was the one to kill him. Still absolutely loved the show though. Just wanted to see what other people thought.

I felt like season 6 was way darker then season 7 which does not make sense at all really has season 7was based on dark magic, that is literally its name. Season 6 is by far my favourite for so many reasons and set up season 7 very nicely for the dark ending I personally so desperately wanted.
I REALLY wanted Callum to die, preferably by Rayla's hand
I ended season 6 in a crying mess (I watched it all in one day, a rollercoaster of emotions) whilst season 7 at the end I just felt disappointed and like something was missing.
