Returning 2nd year Trainee teacher with QTS, and mother of 3

When re-applying for student finance for my second year, do i need to provide birth certificates again (just as I did with my first application), can I use passports instead of birth certificates?

Also, the only child benefit letter I am in receipt of is dated two years ago, when my youngest child was born, a copy which student finance have on my original application, do I still need to provide this, more so would It be accepted being two years old?

Finally, Student finance are requesting proof of placement for second year on my 2nd year application, how can I prove that I will be on Placement from April- June next year (2026)?

I will not recieve confirmation of where my new placement is, until the end of second term which is April 2026 (next year).

Hi there. You don't need to provide evidence again unless any of your circumstances have changed from last year.

We only require evidence for specific types of placement. If this is the case then you will be emailed requesting evidence. Thanks, Leah.
