What maintenance Loan do I get?

I recently moved out (Living away from my parents). My new place is in London so I was expecting the Living away from my parents in London rate. I applied for higher maintenance Loan and they approved it but for living away from parents out of London.

My Uni is on the outskirts of London so not in London. Is it because of this? It doesn't say anything about this on the website.

I'm not going attempt to answer your question (as this is the Ask Student Finance England forum, and I don't work there), but I can tell you that the key part of your post is where you say, "My Uni is on the outskirts of London so not in London."

What you haven't said is which uni it is. I feel sure that this would be useful to the SFE team, when they see your post (probably tomorrow). So, which uni are we talking about?

Hi there. The London rate is only awarded if you are studying at a university based in London. “London” means the area comprising the City of London and the former Metropolitan Police District. Thanks, Leah.
