Thinking of Applying to RADA – Anyone Here Studied There?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been considering applying to RADA and I’m trying to gather as much honest feedback as possible before making a decision.

I found this page where people post public reviews and experiences

It gives a general idea, but I’m curious to hear directly from students (past or current) on TSR.

What was the audition process really like?

Is the environment supportive or super competitive?

How are the tutors and facilities in day-to-day life?

And do you feel it really opens doors career-wise after graduation?

I’m also open to hearing comparisons with other drama schools like LAMDA or Guildhall.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts! Would really appreciate hearing from someone who’s been through it.

I would apply and worry about these questions if you're offered a place. Which would be as rare as hens' teeth! Less than 2% of applicants get in. If you progress, there will be multiple audition rounds so you'd be there more than once and find out what you need to along the way.

Agree with the above. Just apply to a few places and you will get a feel for them throughout the audition process. With drama schools it's very much the case that they pick you (or they don't!) and your choices are limited by how many schools end up making you an offer. To get even one offer is good-going, so I wouldn't expend too much energy analysing all the schools' various merits and drawbacks - just apply and see what happens!
