When will university confirm my place (Access course)?

I have already emailed them my official results (as requested by them). Is this a case of waiting for UCAS to update my hub? Is there an official result day for access course like there is for a levels?

Usually access course results are issued to UCAS at the end of July who then issue them to your University choices and update your application. Once this process happens you should receive your firmed offer.

Thank you, so my college will send my results to UCAS? It's my first time applying so a bit lost as I completed my course November last year and I have already met all my conditions and sent them the certificates requested.

If you have the results, certificate and all, then they shouldn't be waiting on anything. They might just be working through things on their side but there is no harm in calling them to confirm the status 🙂

As far as I aware yes. This is what my college informed me at the time. If you have uploaded/emailed your certificates to the University I wouldn't worry. UCAS has an embargo period until August 14th due to results days which differ between Scotland and the rest of the UK. This is what it states:

The first embargo period (July 28 - August 5) specifically relates to SQA results, while the second (August 8 - August 14) covers JCQ results (including A-levels, BTECs, and T-Levels). During these periods, universities and colleges, as well as those with access to the advisor portal, are not permitted to disclose any information about applicant statuses or exam results.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
July 28, 18:00 - August 5, 09:00: SQA results embargo.
August 8, 08:00 - August 14, 08:00: JCQ results embargo.
August 14: A-level, BTEC, and T-Level results day.
August 21: GCSE results day.

The embargo is in place to ensure a fair and consistent release of information to all applicants.

Hi,

Thank you for your question.

Usually, your college will send your Access course results to UCAS at the end of July. After UCAS receives them, they update your application and notify your university choices. Once this happens, you should receive confirmation of your firm offer through your UCAS Hub.

Since you mentioned they’ve already confirmed your place after making this post, congratulations! That means everything has been processed, and you’re all set for the next steps. Good luck with everything

Hey I did an Access course too and applied to Newcastle. I tired to upload my certificate but they weren’t taken them due to the embargo period. Does anyone know if my place will be confirmed on results day? I’m getting really worried they might reject me or something.
