i think it’s been pretty collectively decided that this year papers seemed to be generally easier than for last year for most subjects, i was wondering if anyone had any predictions? these are mine, do they align with other people’s?
aqa physics: 157-159/200 for a 9 - both papers were significantly easier than last year, this happened last year and boundaries jumped 9 marks (6.8%) so they could even be 162/200 this year for physics but unlikely (+6-8 from last year)
aqa chemistry: 154/200 for a 9 - again easier papers (+5 from last year)
aqa biology: 144/200 for a 9 (paper 1 was significantly easier than other years. paper 2 wasn’t that bad, probably a similar boundary to last year) (+3 from last year)
aqa computer science: 154/200 for a 9 (harder paper 1, easier paper 2 but most ppl didn’t find paper 1 too bad anyway) (+2 from last year)
edexcel b geography: 211/252 for a 9 (+3 from last year), paper 1 was easy, paper 3 wasn’t average and paper 2 was harder
aqa french: 200/240 for a 9 (+5 from last year, speaking and listening were easy, reading and writing slightly harder)
eduqas english lit: 156/200 for a 9 (+8 from last year), last year had an unusual dip despite easy questions. in 2023 questions were harder than this year and had boundaries of 153/200 for a 9 - can someone explain why they dropped to 148 last year despite having easy questions?
eduqas language: 155 for a 9 (62 per paper), papers were considered easy but they were last year and they rose 5 last year anyway (+5 from last year)
what are anyone else’s predictions
