CTC clearance- home office job

Hi anybody gone through CTC clearance for a job with Home Office. Just wondering how long it will take and how long after CTC is obtained will the confirmation of the job offer come through?

Shouldn't take long - took less than a month (couple weeks) for me.

...Can be quicker, but all depends on your circumstances, i.e. have you had vetting before, and at what level etc. and how much background needs to be searched (i.e. if you have a long and numerous list of questional folks mentioned within your application)

In summary, CTC is the quickest form clearence to get, compare to the other five levels, which can similarly take long depending on what a particular role requires.

1. Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)/Level 1B
2. Security Check (SC)
3. Enhanced Security Check (eSC)
4. Developed Vetting (DV)
5. Enhanced Developed Vetting (eDV)

If you've applied, and three month's pass - contact the said vetting department for an update on progesses - sometimes badly run organisations, take longer due to their own issues (not the applicants)
