SFE pr status

If i have a pr status and gotten it august next year and i apply uni and student finance before officially gotten the pr status but still have it before the start of university. I assume i would receive both tuition and maintenance loan by having a pr status but unsure in the timings of applying if i should apply after receiving my pr status officially or is it safe before.

Can you confirm if you mean pre settled status or indefinite leave to remain/settled status?

Can you confirm when you are or will be granted this status? What status do you currently hold?

Lastly, can you confirm when you course begins?

hello thank you for replying,
currently I'am looking for options such as starting this year or wait until next year again.
As currently my status is dependent status but have been in the UK 3 years prior to my course start which will start this September and if I decided to continue I will only receive tuition not maintenance loan. However if I waited next year which I will have indefinite leave to remain and got this status at august and the course next year will be September 1. Which goes back to my original question whether can I receive tuition and maintenance loan for my university at September if i apply before officially getting it but will have it by the start of university or is it better to apply when i have my indefinite leave to remain.

Hi there. Your best option would be applying once you have the Settled status, because otherwise the application would just be held until we receive it.

Keep in mind that if you apply closer to the start of your Academic Year it may take longer to process your application and your funding may not be approved on time for you starting. However, you can discuss this with your university to keep them informed. Thanks, Leah.

Thank you for the advice. One more question with my ILR status I will definitely get tuition and maintenance loan for September 2026 University when I just received my ILR status next year August. I just want to make sure that there is no restrictions at all just because I just received my ILR status i have to wait certain time before I can go apply for SFE. Thanks.

Hi there. As the settled status would be instated prior to the 1st day of the 1st Academic Year of your course you would be eligible for the full funding. Thanks, David
