Hi can anybody share how they found mpharm? is it hard? what a-levels grades are usually accepted?
Hi,
For most MPharm courses, typical A-level requirements usually range from BBB to AAB depending on the university. These usually include Chemistry and often Biology or Maths as required subjects since pharmacy is a science-heavy degree. I’d recommend checking the specific entry requirements for the universities you’re interested in as some may have more detailed criteria.
I’m heading into my third year and really enjoy the course. It’s a mix of science-based theory, patient centred care, pharmacy law and ethics, pharmaceutical calculations, research, and professional practice. The role has become much more clinical over time and we now qualify as independent prescribers. We gain experience in many different sectors as there are many roles for pharmacists from community and hospital settings to GP practices and the pharmaceutical industry.
It’s a challenging course because it covers a lot of content but is definitely manageable if you keep on top of your workload.
