Hi
Try to do the BSMS virtual work experience.

I’d try care homes, they are often more willing to take on volunteers and this often counts as work experience in a caring setting

i am currently trying a local care home, may need to be more persistant as i just contacted them late last week but im hoping to get it tbh. distance is a big factor for me as i dont have much money at the moment for a really far volunteering placement .
also do i need a cv for it?

Any experience is useful, it 100% does not need to be in a hospital or GP surgery, in the main these are very difficult to secure.

A local community hospital or urgent treatment centre might be worth asking at reception as they are generally less busy, less acute and more accommodating.

Care homes, youth clubs, charity work is all useful. It does not need to be healthcare based.

Your extra-curriculars are sound and if you have done online work experience that is plenty enough. You can also (very gently) ask around friends and family and find out if anyone has any chronic conditions which has made them an expert patient and see if they are prepared to tell your about it. There may even be people on this site you could ask in a thread and ask them to reply anonymously. This will give you insight into perhaps even rare conditions that you have never heard of, what it involves, their impact on people's lives or emotions and so on.

I applied years ago and got in. But I worked in healthcare for some time ahead of entering. In a way I began studying medicine in my own time before I even set foot in the door.
