Jobs interviews

Hi guys after tidying my CV and it's looking up to scratch. I had an interview over the phone a couple of days ago and now have an interview at Home Bargains.

I really wish I sounded like my CV if that's makes sense I always seem to mess up. answer the wrong question does this happen at a lot of interviews?

How do you practice an interview even when you try? Remember these answers you always seem to mess up stutter. Has anyone had really good interview skills if so can you kindly share with me your advice.

I got an interview at Home Bargains next weeks.

I applied to Tesco, Lidl, Asda, Co-op, primark, Next, Holland and Barrett, Macdonalds……… literally everywhere.
Only received interview emails from Macdonalds. I had given approximately 10 interviews at Macdonalds only but still got rejected. After that all hard work and untiring efforts, I got interview call from Holland and Barrett..to get to this point I got rejected many many many times.
All I want to say is that… don’t stress too much …… just be yourself…….. .

Hi James,

It's great to hear you’re getting interviews - clearly all the work on your CV is paying off! (:
When I’ve prepped in the past, I’ve found it helpful to review my CV and think about examples I could expand on in an interview, especially around teamwork or handling tricky situations - things that show you’d be great with customers.

Instead of memorising answers, try to have a general idea of what you’d say. That way, if the question’s worded differently, you can adapt more easily. It’s also totally fine to take a few seconds before answering - a quick pause to gather your thoughts can actually help you come across more confident and thoughtful! + gives u that bit of time to work out what they are looking for (:

If you can, maybe ask a friend or family member to run through a mock interview with you. And just remember: if you’ve been offered an interview, they already think you’re capable - now it’s about showing your enthusiasm and interest in the role and the company.😊

Best of luck!! 🤗

Hi thanks for the advice I would have to answer their questions first for example they may ask:

What is our company about?
Why do you bring to the table and be a great candidate for company something along the lines of that

How does your time table fit with are work schedule would you be willing to work Monday to Friday? through weekends

Best thing you can do is, rehearse, record your self answering some pre-prepared questions, you can ask ChatGPT to generate some interview questions, and record yourself answering. Play the recording back and listen to where you think needs improvement.
