Medicine and sports

Is it really that impossible to study medicine while also pursuing sports?
By 'pursuing sports' I assume you mean at a professional or semi-professional level?

Yeahh
Playing professionally or semi-professionally is probably not conducive to most degree programmes due to the amount of training that level demands.

You can however certainly play sports within the university context e.g. BUCS level as a medic and potentially manage to balance those (I know someone who did and I gather quite a few medics also play on the team with him).
