hi im starting to plan my christmas carol essays but could someone give me a list of all the characters we could be asked about and all the themes too? I do eduqus

The main characters are:
Scrooge
Fred
Bob
The Cratchits (either individually or as a group - especially tiny tim)
Marley's ghost
The three ghosts of christmas
There are some other characters but I wouldn't expect there to be questions on them, although I did a different exam board so who knows.
For themes, I would say that social classes and social injustice are pretty important, but also the idea of charity. A good knowledge of the effects of Malthusian ideals would also be very useful.
As for your question about the ghosts, I would say it's definitely worth having plans for them separately as they night ask about one in particular, but you can always pull in the others in your argument so having the links between them is also helpful.

Themes to consider are poverty, generosity, social responsibility, redemption, isolation/loneliness, greed, supernatural (basically the ghosts), and also family
