What's the big deal? 😧 Because everywhere else calls it a LLB degree and Cambridge calls it a BA degree.

You clueless! The Honour School's called Jurisprudence. Why don't you Google stuff on Wikipedia before you make a pillock of yourself by banging on about things you know Jack about? "Oxford Law BA since the 1200s", dohhhhhhh. People are laughing at you, fella, not with you.

I see that you can look things up online after being called out on your nonsense. Well done, bro, you've found the internet! So now you know who Blackstone was. Oxford top tip: engage brain and obtain accurate info BEFORE gobbing off. You're welcome!

It is 'archaic' and needs to become modernised. All exams should be at the end of Years 1, 2, 3 and/or 4.

Mr Tangle appears to have you in a tangle!
Maybe you could tag on to your law reform report? Ask them to consider changing its name too - to suit you. Just a suggestion.

Here are the proposed changes:

...and they are minor. Because only Torts Law moves to end of Year 1 as it is already offered at the end of Year 1.

Also, Jurisprudence (a paper hated by so many students) becomes an optional paper in Year 3 and the rest of the original Year 2 papers offered remain the same.

Then not 2 but 5 optional papers can be chosen.

Also, it would be better if it was named simply: "Oxford BA Law" 🙂 lol

Not to mention "Oxford BA Law," would become the best Law degree in the entire world.

Year 1
· A Roman Introduction to Private Law
· Constitutional Law
· Criminal Law
· Tort
· Legal Research and Mooting Skills Programme (Stage 1)

Year 2
· Administrative Law
· Contract
· European Union Law
· Land Law
· Legal Research and Mooting Skills Programme (Stage 2)
· Trusts

YEAR 3 - OPTIONS
· Advanced Criminal Law
· Civil Dispute Resolution
· Commercial Law
· Company Law
· Company Law
· Comparative Law
· Competition Law and Policy
· Copyright, Trade Marks and Allied Rights
· Criminology and Criminal Justice
· Dissertation FHS
· Employment Law
· Environmental Law
· Family Law
· Feminist Perspectives in Law
· History of English Law
· Human Rights Law
· International Trade
· Introduction to Asian Comparative Laws
· Jurisprudence
· Law and Technology
· Media Law
· Medical Law and Ethics (FHS)
· Moral and Political Philosophy
· Personal Property
· Public International Law
· Roman Law (Delict)
· Succession law
· Taxation Law

I would choose the following 5 optional papers:

· Competition Law and Policy
· Employment Law
· Family Law
· Succession law
· Taxation Law

It would be a more satisfying degree as well as extremely gratifying when looking at high 2:1 and 1st results. 😉 lol

Dude, you become Vice-Chancellor of Oxford and you can try your hand at changing things up. But right now you're just some dude posting inane chatter on a website, you're nowhere near Oxford, and your crazy dreams are just crazy dreams. You gonna open a furniture biz? Genius idea, bro! Unique!

Jurisprudence is the main pull for me.
I’ll have to hope they don’t implement your suggestions.

From what I read here, the guy hasn't even got an A level to his name and he thinks he can tell the oldest university in the UK how to run its law school. Anyway, hasn't anyone told him that law is nerdy and he won't score all the super models if he's a law nerd?

I have a amatuer bodybuilder's physique and can say i will spend most of my time being 'productive' in the gym and library if offered a place at Oxford University.

Law is seen as a prestigious degree and highly respected in Asia and Africa, so it does not matter. 🙂 lol

He constantly procrastinates from ever doing them - he prefers lists and stats to fill his time.
I don’t think you realise that he is planning on being a Barrister and a Chartered Accountant - double bubble! He’ll be fighting the ladies off…..

I am currently 20% complete with the A-Level Maths topics from the Woody course thank you very much. I will get much busier once BST time ends and it becomes colder and I start drinking hot chocolate with biscuits. 😛

You are right but there is the option to dual qualify as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser too. i.e. ACA and CTA.

Becoming a barrister is my dream but I am certain to become a solicitor by passing the SQE exams.

I can lift 100kg from the ground to above my shoulders over my head. So, I would not have a problem lifting even the tallest models with very long legs that are 5ft 11 and above. 🙂

The only reason I want to become an accountant is because accounting is the language of business and I will do an MBA at a later date as well, not to mention I will become the manager of many millions from model clients here in London at PwC. 😉 You can even see PwC (on the recruitment job search pages) struggle to fill their Tax positions (with over 200 positions monthly) and so do all other accounting firms here in London and more so the rest of the UK. ☹️

Those are your opinions, not mine. I would love to read Jurisprudence.
My application has gone in today…
