Would it be possible to change from child nursing to adult nursing before you actually start your course in September if there is space available for the course at the same university?

I requested to change from mental health to adult nursing, but my uni are dragging their feet. Adult nursing is in clearing so I know there’s spaces but it’s really frustrating!
