Anyone stayed at The Bridge House at Edinburgh? Mixed-gender flat experience?
Hi! I’m an incoming student at the University of Edinburgh and I’ve been assigned to stay at The Bridge House. I’ve read that the flats are usually shared between 4–6 people and include shared bathrooms and kitchen spaces.
I’m wondering if anyone here has stayed there before and could share your experience — especially about how the mixed-gender flat arrangement works in real life.
👉 Do people actually share bathrooms with flatmates of a different gender?
👉 Is it possible to request an all-female flat? Was your request accepted?
👉 How’s the overall atmosphere, cleanliness, and noise level?
