Mental health nursing to adult nursing

I’ve just finished my 1st year of mental health nursing and feel like I picked the wrong field and would prefer adult nursing. It’s not possible to swap courses at my uni and would need to drop out and reapply which is just not a possibility as a mature student. I fully intend to see it through and become a mental health nurse but just wondered if there was a shorter adult nurse course that could be done further down the line? I have googled but don’t seem to be having much luck finding an answer. I’ve found adult nurses can do a top up of mental health to become dual registered nurses I just want to know if it’s possible to do it the other way round to go from mental health nurse to adult as a registered nurse. Thanks in advance
