30 funded hours childcare
I am starting Uni in September, I have 2 young children, I will be working as well as studying. Will I be able to claim the 30 hours funded childcare? (I would be entitled to it otherwise) I know there’s the childcare grant but also but unsure if I can claim both

Hi there. The 30 free hours of childcare is not considered alternative childcare funding, so you would still be able to apply for the Childcare Grant from SFE.
You would be unable to claim Childcare Grant from Student Finance England if you, or your partner are receiving alternative childcare (childcare element of Working Tax Credits or Universal Credit or Tax Free Childcare) from HMRC at the same time. Thanks, Leah.
