Diagnostic Radiography entry requirements at City St Georges

hey im currently in yr 12, going into yr 13 and i wanna apply for radiography at city uni. i do meet the requirements for it as i got 5s in my gcses. im also doing btec applied science. do u think theres a less chance of me getting in because of the qualification and my gcses? i heard a lot of ppl get waitlisted for the interviews.

If you meet the entry requirements, then you have as good a chance as anyone else. Just make sure you get a day of shadowing experience in an imaging department and have some public-facing work/volunteering experience (in retail, cafe, charity shop, care home, etc.) under your belt (and reflect on this in your personal statement). Learn the NHS values and prepare well for your interview.

Thank you but i have applied to work experience in ahospital in radiography department but i havnt gottenany. Should i still write on my ps that im activelyresearching abt shadowing a radiographer or js leave it?I have done other work experiences likecarehome,pharmacy, at a lab in uni

Don't ask for work experience. Ask for a day of shadowing experience - hospitals are much more open to this than longer periods of work experience. Keep trying over summer and contact all the hospitals you can get to in your area.

yeah, I asked to shadow a radiographer. I haven't gotten a response from my local nhs trust, and I've tried with other hospitals that aren't in my area, but they rejected me because of where I live.
