Are Chavs actually any more likely to be dangerous compared to Goths or Nerds?

Every Chav (tracksuit, gold chain and baseball hat) I've met has been nice, which makes me sceptical of the media's take that chavs are "bad". From experience they are rough around the edges and can appear intimidating initially, but they're fine.

Are they actually any more dangerous compared to other fashion/music subcultures, such as Goths, Nerds, etc? Or did it just appear that way because of the media and people jumping on the bandwagon? What do you think?
I guess we’re doing weekly chav threads now.

Are 'chavs' in the original sense of the word even a thing anymore? Yes, there's the roadman/ roadman wannabe types usually in all black tracksuits, sometimes with ski masks who seem to have a habit of riding e-bikes/ scooters at ridiculous speeds. Can't say I've seen anyone dressed like the original chav stereotype- tracksuits with big logos, fake Burberry baseball cap, gold chains etc for ages & if I saw someone dressed like that now I'd seriously wonder if they were doing it ironically.

Back in my young teenager skater days, we were always fighting with chavs because they always started stuff. I've never seen or heard of a skater or goth get violent unless forced into the situation. On the whole they tend to be a bit less violent these days but you always see on the news one or two every week battering their partners or slashing someone with a machete in broad daylight.

I've not seen any with the fake Burberry baseball cap, but there's loads of what people call "Chavs" or "Charvas" where I live and my brother is one. They wear tracksuits, gold chains (or rings) and baseball caps (usually dark or black). "Charva" seems like the more popular word right now (it's the original version of the word "Chav").
