further maths in y13 as a law applicant

hiya. i got all 9s at gcse and 4A* predicted for the subjects maths further maths history and bio hoping to apply to study law in top unis e.g. cambridge lse ucl etc. further maths is a subject i practically despise in the sense i really dont want to continue it but im only doing as such to maximise my chances. i got an A in my fm mock which gave me the A* prediction. now i heard from a teacher than i can drop it at any time, even after getting offers i can jsut drop it in february which im hoping to do but i heard some unis give an offer for 4 A Levels. if that happens, will dropping affect my offers? should i just drop in september? any advice would be great

All LLB law degrees are equal as they need to be accredited by Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board. You only need 3 A Levels. If you dont want to continue further maths, drop it. Year 13 content is harder. Dont make things harder on yourself.

Any Uni that does make 4-A level offers will also include a 3-A level offer - ie. 'conditional on achieving AAA or AABB' - so you could drop it at any point without that impacting that offer, but honestly, drop it now and put all your effort into the 3 subjects that really will matter.

I'd drop it now. If you drop it after submitting your UCAS application you MUST tell the unis you have done so or your application will become fraudulent.
