I am soon to begin second year at Teesside University, i have received my module results and i have passed with flying colours. Now August is entering, im wondering when i will hear from my uni about when we start for second years, if we need new cards etc. I would appreciate help from Anyone with experience.

You just need to search for 'term dates' on your uni website.

Unis will also require you to re-enrol online - you'll get an email about that with links etc, usually early September.

Hi there!

Congrats on passing first year! I hope you had a great year

You should be contacted by your uni around late August/early September, where you will have to re-enroll for second year. The enrolment process tends to begin a week or two after A-level results day. Re-enrolling for second year is usually just an online form, where you put in a bit of information - this is just to confirm that you are coming back to start second year, and I believe this is linked to your student finance and confirming you are still a student with them so your tuition gets paid

It might be a little different of a process for each university, but just don't worry if you haven't been contacted yet as there is still a while to go! Your term dates will be published on the uni website, and you will likely get your personal timetable for second year around freshers week (or maybe a bit earlier). You won't get a new ID card, unless you have lost your current one - you can usually get these replaced on your campus libraries for either free or a small fee!

Hope that helps - congrats again and good luck for second year!

Hello @Anon1124
Firstly huge well done for doing so well in first year you must be so thrilled!

In respect of the term dates, I think the earlier responses have answered that one - you will find this information on the university website.

At the moment the universities will be pretty busy with sorting out the new intake of first years as well as students making enquiries and applying through clearing, so you will probably not hear from the university until after this. When it gets closer to the start of term, possibly in September, you will probably have an email from the university explaining when and how you need to enrol for your second year as well as the administrative processes you need to go through prior to starting, but I am sure that it will be really clearly explained. If you are in doubt, you could contact the university closer to the start of term,
Good luck with the second year,

Hiya @Anon1124 ,
Although it may seem rather late, your course tutors don't usually contact you until late august/ early september unless you have a summer project or briefing. If you are worried about preparing or getting relevant supplies, you can always contact your course or personal tutor for more information☺️ I hope you have been enjoying the summer break and I wish you all the best for the start of a new academic year🤗
