SQA Results - BIO

So I received my offer for optometry

and they are asking for a C in bio at advanced higher

My question is

in past years a C has been around 45%(found on sqa website)

how does it work tho

Because there is assignment involved too

In school i have been getting C and B all year (More so B and A at end of year) with a C being 50% and a B being 60%

listen pal this is a grade fluctuation it happens when many student seem to perform lower/higher than average they try to fluctuate the grades to make it consistent. This is why we have a theory of target percentage - you need to aim a specefic perfecentage- for a B you need to aim 65% for safe B. For an A variation starts forming.- a risky grade A is 70-80% very risky and likely you will trip at the B grade. normal /safe grade A is 80-90%- youre safe and even if you perform worse in the assignment in some subject you will be in a comfortable position. Then solid and strong grade A is 90-100%- very strong and solid - in some subjects even if you get 0 marks in the assignment you will still LIKELY get a grade A.

So if youre aiming B then youre Target aim should be 65% in general the assignment or exam
