How is QMUL?? (considering joining for clearing)

i initially wanted sheffield but due to family stuff i have to stay in london, and qmul looks decent and it does my preferred course which is robotics, was gonna apply there but i thought the grade requirements were too high for me (AAB), but after doing a levels it looks really really possible now

i went to a campus tour and i liked what i saw, now im seriously debating joining qmul through clearing, so i'm just asking, how is qmul as a student, is the student life good (regardless of your course), are there good things to do there, is it relatively affordable for you, do you really enjoy being at qmul??

i'd appreciate any replies, and good luck in any of your studies!!!

I do BA History at QMUL and commute, so idk how helpful I will be.

I really enjoy QMUL. I enjoy the campus, there are sections that are busy and others that are quite. I find that the food in the cafes/restaurants/shops on campus are overpriced and not very good. However, there are 2 supermarkets close by and some good restaurants near by. You are also only 10 mins from Stratford where there is much more.

In my course, there is good student support (though they are merging 3 schools together, so idk how well that will continue).

The Student Union is good. There are lots of societies and they do lots of events. There is also an on campus bar that is supposed to be good, especially for non-alcoholic drinks. And an on campus gym that has discounted membership (but does not have a pool).

I work as a student ambassador (but not working while I send this message), which has good pay, but is not very well organised.
