Stressed about missing a level offer grades

My firm choice is Mechanical Engineering MEng at the university of Edinburgh and my offer is A*AA
These were my predicted grades too but I'm so sure that I've gotten a B at most in chemistry. For context we got a new teacher at the beginning of year 2 who had never taught a level before as she was previously a GCSE teacher. Our science department took a toll in first year and like 50% of the teachers left because of issues in management. Not all of them were replaced and those that were replaced lacked the experience to fill the gap. Probably about twice per month for all of second year I begged and begged for them to provide extra help, which my school had no issue providing for my other 2 subjects. The grades in my class (the only class my teacher taught) were consistently significantly lower than the rest of the year group despite having comparable grades in year 1.

No help was given though and obviously a levels are over now and what's done is done. I really need that A and I'm so sure I haven't got it and I just don't know what to do.
Has anyone else had any similar experiences?

What is your insurance grades? If you can meet it with the B, be assured that on results day, you will be studying mechanical engineering at uni.
What I say to u, is ‘ignorance is bliss’. No need to think about it. U thinking and stressing about it will change nothing.

You have probably done far better than you assume, and E'b may still accept you even if you just miss your offer. Try not to worry. Endless 'what-if' doom thinking will drive you nuts.

Presumably your school has written to Edinburgh to explain the issue and they can take it into account.

Highly doubt this one unfortunately they've been dodging accountability for anything and everything and I think I'm the only one who applied to edi who also took chem.

Did you ask them to do this?

Idk if this is a good form of help.
But there is news going around that Universities this year are more likely to accept students even if they miss their grades. This is due to the high amounts of debt Universities are in (especially including Edinburgh)
So there is still the chance they will accept even if you miss the grade because they need the funds.
Also, they also decide on your whole application.
Even if you miss the grades, if they believe your personal statement was of good quality, they may still accept you.
Regardless tho, we dont need to think about it, I'm worried about missing my Edinburgh conditional and funnily enough my insurance is also Bristol.
Worrying won't get us nowhere haha
I'm sure we will be fine either way 🙌
