TMUA Sitting

I don’t know whether to apply for the October or January Sitting of the TMUA. I just started preparation for the exam and have 3 months to go. Am i at a disadvantage if i do the January sitting because I have heard that you have a lower chance of getting into unis like LSE and UCL (the schools im applying for) if you apply to them late in January.

They aren't supposed to judge January applicants' results any differently and they don't say they do, but if they're given two otherwise equal candidates (same grades, TMUA result), it would make logical sense for them to choose the October sitter. That said, I wouldn't worry about it. If you're confident that you'll get a better result in January, then do it in January. A 6.5 will always be better received than a 6.0. There are advantages to doing it in October (get your results and offers early, make more time to revise for mocks or other exams, flexing, etc) but if you think you'll get a better result in January, just do it in January (again).
