Compelling Personal Reasons?

hi everyone, i previously studied at the university of salford on media and performance. i did 2 years but i failed 2nd year due to a SA situation where i was hospitalised and had a really difficult time. i ended up having to quit my job, take a year of leave from uni because of it and it’s still an ongoing investigation. i decided to transfer to BIMM and originally was going to join onto 2nd year but they said they can only accept me for first year due to limited module overlap. i have submitted my CPR evidence and statement a few days ago but im feeling worried incase they decline or deny this and unsure what the next steps would be as i wouldn’t be able to do 3rd year. any advice would be appreciated just incase as im feeling very very apprehensive about this. ty in advance xx

Hi there. Unfortunately, we can't confirm if it's going to be accepted until it has been reviewed. It takes around 17 working days to do this. Did you provide a cover letter and supporting evidence e.g. letter from a professional person confirming your reasons for CPR?

Hi mhannahe,

As long as your evidence confirms what happened, when this happened and how this directly impacted your studies, it is normally accepted. You will be updated once this is reviewed. Our current processing timescales are approximately 17 working days with subject to change depending on our current volumes.

Thanks, Clare
