Shoud I learn to drive Auto instead of Manual

Hello, I have had 3 2 hour driving lessons. My instructor respectfully told me today that she thinks I will be better off learning automatic because I still am not working out the gears. She says I'll be better off financially. She said she's willing to keep teaching me but she doesn't want to waste my money/time.
I'm in two minds because I'm not in a rush to learn how to drive and I know auto is more limiting and the cars can be more expensive.
Those of you who only learnt auto, how have you found it?
Thank you
I think it's a lot more complicated if you don't get a full manual license initially? Probably easier to get a full manual license and then just buy an automatic for your first car.

Yes I agree. I'm going to stick with manual. Thank you!

I was going to say the same, its easier to learn and pass in a manual. Then you could always get an automatic when you pass if you wanted to.
You havent had many lessons so far (well you hadnt when you posted this). So basically still getting to grips with stuff.
Would changing instructor help?
