The Student Room Group

What have you done this July?

It's nearly the end of July - what have you been up to? :holmes:

I've reached the end of a school term, done an escape room, seen some family (unfortunately had to attend a funeral) and caught up on my sleep :couchpotato:

How about you?

Finished Year 12 (going on a trip to Cambridge and went to a climate conference) ,
got my passport
1000001215.jpg
and have been on various days out.
Ooh lots of things

-I've been to Bridlington on a boat to see the sea birds and seals, and then on to RSPB Bempton Cliffs for a better look at the puffins
-I've been bowling
-I've been to the cinema a few times
-I've done 4D glow-in-the-dark crazy golf
-I've played in the arcades
-I've been to Black Country Living Museum
-I've been to Forbidden Corner
-I've celebrated my son's 12th birthday
-I've celebrated my mam's 76th birthday
-I've graduated with First Class Honours
-I've been on lots of walks e.g. along the Elsecar Canal to Elsecar Heritage Centre, and along the Trans Pennine Trail
-I've been to Snake Woodlands
-I've had my dad and his wife round for a meal
-I've been to a few restaurants
-I've taken my husband to the GP / hospital a few times
-I've done tons and tons of house tidying / sorting out
-I've been to the park a couple of times

But MOST importantly, and this has been ongoing since May, I have (along with my son) made very good friends with the local wild Canada geese who are very happy now to feed from our hands and be stroked.

Sorry to hear about the toe, but hope you enjoyed visiting the unis :yeah:
Avoided being made redundant at the end of our redundancy consultation and got promoted technically by way of avoiding it so...that was good I guess. Got sick though and still can't shift this cough...also both dogs got sick (one of them very sick, twice...) which has been stressful :frown:

I have, avoided people, slept a lot, visited a relative for a week then ate comfort food to recover, did same more work on my world that I am building (it is going to become a comic), argued with my bank about what my name is (it is a huge saga), did a load of walking on the local common, made a 3D cutlass (I am going into prop making), read 5 books and watched YouTube a lot.
I revised for and sat my SQE1 exam, continued to train for my black belt, and made efforts to get some walking training in as I'm climbing Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa for charity with work in two weeks' time!

What is the SQE1 exam?
:goodluck: with climbing Snowdon. How are you feeling about it?

It's the first of two Solicitors Qualifying Examinations: https://www.sra.org.uk/become-solicitor/sqe/

Thanks! Alright I think. I do love a good hike, and while it will certainly be a challenge I am confident I can make it. I'm doing a 16-mile route which summits the mountain twice!

Doing sports, worked, have a sauna and relaxed on the last four days this month. And I have been on a birthday party in between.
