I’ve been looking into picking up a part-time summer gig that's a bit more fun than retail or food service. Something outdoors and event-related sounds appealing—maybe helping out at birthday parties or community fairs.
I recently came across a few local businesses that offer things like bounce houses and water slide rental services for events. The idea of working with one of those companies seems fun and not too stressful. Has anyone here done something like that before?
Curious to know if it pays well, and if the hours are flexible enough for a student schedule. Open to other creative ideas too—drop your suggestions!

Events like festivals or local markets are usually a good option depednent on where you live. Roles I've seen before are co-ordinators or marshals
There's a big difference between being at an event and working at one? Those places may be fun and not stressful as an attendee but the staff are probably not having as much fun as the attendees and having to deal with a large number of people who are likely not very organised or listening to key safety information or following instructions (or scrubbing vomit out of a bounce house...).
Ultimately having a job isn't about having fun, it's about earning a paycheque...you probably need to accept a job is going to be a job no matter what you're doing.
