How can I improve OCR exam technique?

Hi everyone! I recently switched from AQA to OCR for my GCSEs, and I’ve been finding it hard to adjust to the way OCR wants their questions to be answered.

I actually understand the material, but I often lose marks because my answers don’t include the exact level of detail OCR expects. I also didn’t get much support from my teachers during the switch—they mostly just told me to do past papers on my own—so I feel like I haven’t learned the best way to structure my answers.

I really want to improve my exam technique and start feeling confident with this exam board. Does anyone have tips or strategies for adapting to OCR and improving my marks? Any advice from people who’ve been through the same thing would be super helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Combine sciences

Look at the markschemes when you do past papers and add the terms they look for to your answer
