I actually stayed in Colman house during my first year of university, I have since graduated so I can help with any other questions too!

You will be allocated a random room and flat number, the flats range from 6-13 people. All the bedrooms come with their own en-suite, equipped with a single bed, desk and chair, cupboard, and draw space under the bed. Every room also has a pin board for posters or pictures.

The kitchen will be shared between you and your flat mates. You will have your bins taken out by our cleaning team once a week, including your bedroom bins. The kitchen and your shower room will also be cleaned every other week. A hoover and an ironing board will be at your disposal. The kitchen will also be fully equipped with all the utilities you need, this will include a conventional microwave, kettle, grill, hob, toaster, and lots of cupboards and fridge space. There will dinning room table too. Only you and your flat mates will have access to your flats, the main entrance to the building will also only open to those allocated to your building- you will be given access via your campus card and provided with a key during key collection hours, which will be sent to you via email once everything has been confirmed.

We have a fantastic maintenance team too, so if anything breaks or needs preparing make sure you ask! We also have an app called safe zone if you ever feel unsafe or manage to get locked out, our security team drive around 24 7. You can also order a food delivery’s, such as takeaways or Tescos they can park outside. Parking is also rather limited and will be allocated to those who have special circumstances. There is also access to a lift inside each of the blocks and there is a biking outlet located outside too.
